“A New Life” Heading to Atlanta

king_flyer.jpg“A New Life”, my short film, has been chosen for showing at the 2008 KingDom Wood Film Festival, October ,  9-11 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia.. The festival, considered the South’s premier Christian film festival, selected the film after it received an Honorable Mention in Houston’s Bayou City Inspirational Film  Festival in August.

Check out the schedule here.

The KingDom Wood Film Festival,  a three day faith-based film festival held just outside Atlanta, in Lithonia, Georgia. , seeks to provide a forum for faith-based independent filmmakers to screen films that promote and inspire Christian teaching and values.

Founders of the festival, Audrey Thomas and Joe Williams of Driven Film Developers  promote the works of independent filmmakers who are producing films with faith-based themes and story lines. The organizers have developed a festival that  serves an underserved market in the film audience, the Christian audience. Plans for the festival include screenings of shorts, documentaries and features; panels and workshops on industry trends in faith-based filmmaking; a youth short film competition and mentoring program, opening night reception and closing night gospel awards show.
