Cleveland Symphony and Chorus Christmas Concert at Severance Hall – Mini Review

christmas concertOn December 22,2012, Kathleen and I came as close to heaven as we expect to this year: the Cleveland Symphony and Chorus Christmas Concert at Severance Hall. Built in 1931 the hall itself is a major player in the musical events – the hall shapes, modulates, and distributes sound unlike any space I’ve ever been in. So when the hundreds of voices and the world class orchestra started off with an “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”, I thought the Rapture was about to begin. Then on to an intermission starting “Hallelujah Chorus” and an finale of a candle lit “Silent Night.”
Talk about the “wonders of His love, the wonders of His love”!
